simon,

defo gonna b there, go every year. leaving friday early morning and staying for the whole weekend. not camping though - missses wont have it. perhaps meet u at the track??

SirFozzalot 25 June 2003 04:35 PM

I will be there...not in a scoob though.

I will be doing some marshalling....so free access to the whole circuit all weekend!! WooHoo!! :D

RRH 25 June 2003 04:58 PM

When I say 'camping' i'm just trying to sound brave;)

I tend to camp thursday night, then the bloody great big motorhome comes down of friday night along with the rest of the guys:D

I will be terorising the whole of silverstone on my GoPed. We tried to get our bikes in last year, and managed to blag it with the help of the TopGear secirity guys, but then had to leave them on the circuit overnight, meaning we had to walk once out of the gates:(

So this year we've all got gopeds:D:D:D

I'm there on the Friday as I can get in for free with my Octagon pass. Me and the Wife will be around for the day, then off the Cheltenham for a few days R&R.

I won't say I'll see you there as I expect it'll be busy, but you never know......

Ted555 25 June 2003 05:32 PM

Why didnt they let you have bikes????
I`ve been going since 1988 to G.P`s took bikes the last 3 or 4 years, never had a problem.

RRH 25 June 2003 06:07 PM

The problem with Bikes is the pedestrian access to the circuit; I was referring to around and about the actual circuit, not the carparks.

you need a vehicular pass to get the bikes in to the circuit and you have to go in through a vehicle access point, rather than the pedestrian access from Whittlebury, which we use.

Sorry, just re-read your post. I was talking about a couple of R1s and a moped, not push-bikes.

I have a corporate day pass for saturday, first time at a race, so looking forward to it, by the way what is the road access like these days leading to the circuit.

RRH 25 June 2003 06:17 PM

excellent now the by-pass has been put in;)

RRH 30 June 2003 07:35 PM

Crapaud62 30 June 2003 10:20 PM

Just spoke to an old codger this morning who was complaining that the BDRC send him tickets every year but he never bothers to go. :(

I kindly offered to take them off his hands to save them going to waste:D

Fizz 01 July 2003 12:05 AM

RRH 14 July 2003 09:34 PM
