If i connect to this url:

http://www.rwpadvertising.co.uk/_si/

It displays the contents of the directory

Whereas, on my webspace, it does this :

http://www.aviz.co.uk/video

I want to be able to see what's in the directory.. how can i do it?

Cheers

Andy

Found this, but can't work out how to modify it to display the url, instead of

e:\home\Default\aviz.co.uk\htdocs\images\ (the file location on the server)

http://www.aviz.co.uk/images That's what i've got at the moment, but i can't right clikc and save as :(

If you delete (or rename) the index.htm file in the directory, you can get a listing of the directory as in the first example, but this depends on how your host handles missing index files.

Some (NTL for example) replace a missing index with a default page, so you will not be able to do it. Others allow you to choose.

get your hosting company to enable directory browsing.

You just need to put a .htaccess file in allowing directory listing!

make a file called .htaccess and put the following line in:

Options Indexes MultiViews

Then upload it to the dir you wanna be able to list..

Does your hosting provider allow/support ASP? If so I'm sure some kind soul will whip up an ASP page to give you a directory listing.
