Got some dental work coming up, and somebody suggested I should join HSA so I can get some money back on the work to be done.

I'm sure that it's not as simple as that though, and for some reason am under the opinion that HSA is just an over-expensive, claim-limited scam that won't pay out in most instances.

Anyone know about this stuff? Anyone use HSA? Is it a good idea? Any better alternatives?

go into a local pub and shout out "your all a bunch of sweaty socks" that should get your teeth done quite cheaply...

sorry, not much help

I was with HSA. If you wear glasses, need dental etc its well worthwhile. They never argued about paying. If your other half joins as well you can both claim [or used to be able to] for each others work.
it used to be, many years ago, only for civil servants.

Stopped using them as some low-life from the postal service stole one of my cheques and cashed it forging my signature to do so.
HSA were not to blame. Just the low-life thieving produce of a septic womb impreganted by a gangrenous penis.
Not that I'm bitter.
