I've just got a new Ipaq 5450 (running Pocket PC 2002) and I want to control my XP Pro PC, via wirless LAN. The Ipaq has terminal services client, but XP doesn't. Any ideas how I can set this up so it works in a similiar fashion to PC Anywhere (which you can't get for Pocket PC 2002 o/s).

Cheers,

Leigh

Try VNC - that'll do the job... Run the server on the XP Pro & client on the pda...

As to connection, well both should have an ip address, on the client, enter the ip addy of the XP Pro machine (internal DHCP one)

I use this with VPN for remote control of servers if on a bus o something

vnc is free, put the card away! You can use an ipaq to control the Remote Insight board on a Proliant server!!

You can use Terminal Services Client to connect to XP Pro, its called Remote Assistance/Remote Desktop thingy... weird to setup though.

VNC is quick and simple :)
