Saw that as well though they have now pulled it.Just got to ask yourself was it a leak or did they do it on purpose not on purpose kind of thing just to whet our appetite.whatever it looks great though no mention of what processor it is running.Looks like Motorola's poor road map as usual ...

What the hell is PXI-X? New standard as usual which noone uses like ADC...

Duel 4ghx Xeons wont be long now, poor old apple just to small to keep up with the development costs.

The processor is the IBM PowerPC 970, a 64-bit desktop class chip derived from the POWER4. It runs 32 bit applications at full speed with no changes necessary, a la AMD Hammer (x86-64). It doesn't rely on any emulation, unlike Intel's Itanium.

PCI-X is the latest extension of PCI. PCI-X connectors can hold either PCI or PCI-X cards.

As for "poor old" Apple, they don't design the CPU's. Their current FSB is limited by Motorola's 74xx (G4) design can handle. The new motherboard will feature HyperTransport as the chip-to-chip interconnect, Serial ATA and AGP 8x Pro.

The new CPU is designed by IBM for use in their own blade servers and Linux workstations, unlike the G4 which was designed primarily for use in embedded applications (hence machines like the Cube and 1in thick PowerBooks using the same CPU's as the desktops, not special "mobile" versions).
