see if there are any companies local to you who are going that way as part of another load and get yours on as a part load. My parents did this for me when I had a wardrobe going from NE Lincs to Herts

Also have a look at hiring a van. It often works out cheaper, esp if you only want it for a day!

it was way cheaper for us than anything else but there and again, Grimsby prices are generally cheaper than down here!
