On my way to work this morning, approached a roundabout, quite abit of traffic so had to stop! Then this complete w@nker of a white van man type driver, not paying attention, locks up trying to stop, luckily he stopped about a foot from my bumper!

Completely pissed me off no end! What is it with these fcuking lunitics on our roads?!?! Maybe the police should stop trying to cash in on us proper road users and do something about these w@ankers!

Asshole!

Rant over!

DJ Dunk 19 June 2003 10:25 AM

He was probably concentrating on the Daily Sport nipple count whilst drinking a cup of tea and having a bacon sarnie ;)

ProperCharlie 19 June 2003 10:35 AM

Don't you think this reaction is a bit OTT? So somebody brakes hard, locks a wheel and then doesn't crash into anything...

medders 19 June 2003 10:51 AM

How many police would be required to be everywhere all of the time ? Or maybe everyone should have there own police officer ? ;)

Maybe The Accident Group should rename themselves The Non-Accident Group and started sueing people for near misses?

Nearly had an accident in the last 3 years, sir?

SirFozzalot 19 June 2003 12:35 PM

I had a similar p***k in a transit pick-up yesterday....right up my a*se all the way along a 15 mile stretch of single carriage road in a line of about 9 cars with us at the back....there was no-where to go but he still insisted on trying to climb into the boot of my car everytime we slowed for corners etc.

Felt really angry but was quite relieved when he finally turned off! To$$er!! http://www.freeadpower.org/~mrsmiles/contrib/dvv/po.gif

Jerry* 19 June 2003 02:37 PM

Jeez,

Can you honestly say that you have never had your mind elsewhere whilst behind the wheel and nearly gone up the arse of someone ??

Glad he missed...

Spoon 19 June 2003 02:43 PM

I bet he's thought of it Jerry but then realised he wouldn't get 2 on the seat comfortably.:D

Andy Hall 19 June 2003 03:21 PM

Just be grateful he stopped in time, we've all done it so stop being so bl00dy self righteous.
More and more Scoobynet posts seem to be of the "everyone is a complete Knob apart from me who is perfect" type these days.
Has no one got anything worth talking about any more?

Andy

Whilst on the dual carriageway ring road i watched a Volvo weaving in and out of traffic behind me and undertaking, the dual carriageway went from two to one lane due to road works, he had a look up the inside (swerved int the inside lane) then pulls back about 4 feet from my bumper for thge next 100 yds, the lorry in front of me braked sharply, so did i, Volvo man just avoided rear ending me, my partner and our 5 month old daughter.
I pulled up got out and explained to him what i would have done to him if he had have rammed me and suggested he paid more attention to his driving and had more respect for other road users.

He looked down at his steering wheel and did not say a word and held back a respectable distance.

Spoon 19 June 2003 03:48 PM

Lucky call, you'd may well of lost your moderatorship on the strength of brawling in the road.

The Zohan 19 June 2003 04:54 PM

Spoon
Having been the victim of a reckless driver already i now have damage to my back that i may have for the rest of my life.

Bsides it was a 'threat' and a threat only and designed to put the fear of God into him, i think it worked :)

Andy Hall:

I am not saying i am perfect and above everyone else, and most dirvers are pretty good, but you must have noticed i said 'White van man', and EVERYONE knows what the white van man reputaion is! and as I said a little later, I was haveing a very bad morning as it was and stressed out and the last thing i needed was some asshole re-arraging my boot! :-P

Spoon 19 June 2003 07:36 PM

Paul- You're lucky you could get out the car so quick with a bad back then.

Scoob99 19 June 2003 07:50 PM

Had one come out of a side turning right in front of me this morning Ok I was in my Nova, but thats not the point and the Fcuking thing is and a copper was sitting in a van 2 cars behind and did Fcuk all

Many Humbug Returns 19 June 2003 08:57 PM

Making threats again eh Paul?

Sheepsplitter 19 June 2003 09:07 PM

All these people with white van drivers up their ar*e.
I didn't realise there were so many homosexuals on Scoobynet!!

Echo 19 June 2003 09:42 PM

A few years back I was in a hurry to get to the missis in hospital and was tearing along in our (please don't laugh) MX5 and came round a bend on a dual carriageway and saw traffic ahead but suddenly realised that it was stationary (optical illusion- the traffic really looked like it was moving at a distance) and eeek, slammed on the anchors and smoked my way to within 1mm of the rear car then hopped in to the next lane and crept off. Total twit and lesson learned.

Thing is, the poor bloke in front must have seen this screeching car bearing down on him with more smoke than a wet bonfire, I'd have jumped out and run!

I wore out the tyres doing that and drove the rest of the day in a pneumatic drill until I could get to Quick Fit!

Fuzz unplugged 20 June 2003 12:02 AM

last night I pulled out the drive turning right. (after having a good look to check nothing was coming) and half way out a tit in an escort estate came round the bend about 50 yards away, it was leaning that far over to one side I thought the wing mirror was going to leave a trail of sparks, anyway he hits the anchors and gets it all out of shape, whilst I have hit the gas to get out of his way and onto my side of the road. as we get level he glares at me and starts shakiing his fist.
roles reversed now, I hit the anchors and lock the sport up, his expression drops and he accelerates awazy.
the limit outside my house is 50 and must of been doing 70 (from experience I know ;)) and the cheeky sod had the gall to gesticulate to me.
have to re name my road "Glouscetershire Grand Prix circuit" !!

Andy

The Zohan 20 June 2003 08:16 AM

Spoon, I could explain what is wrong with my back but to be honest I just cannot be bothered to, you seem keen to pick up on anything I put on this thread, what’s your motivation, don't drive a black Volvo and on the rig road yesterday where you???

Humbug, I am flattered by the attention, a post from you I just a joy for me, keep up the good work.
(AS for the threat, just to explain to the uninitiated Humbug posted how to injure and possibly kill cats on SN, I threatened him and called him a coward. He took offence and likes to snipe, silly little man)
:)
