Has anyone heard a buzzing noize when they go over 110 mph(on the track of course!!), When my car reached 110 ish i get a lowd buzzing noize from inside the car, I first thought it was electrical interferance through my stereo but it was turned off?

Any ideas ??

Is it bug eye or 03 as it sounds the same as what i get in mine (03 wrx).
My loud buzz comes through the drivers door nearer 130, it appears to be wind getting in through wing.
Spoke to dealer about it & after looking at me open mouthed for a while they said they would contact mike wood at prodrive for an idea as to where its getting in.
I wonder if tommi has the same problem.;)

My car is a 94 wrx, it sounds like an electrical buzz from speakers, its comming from the dash area, my be its my speakers but carnt understand why. It could also be what you said.

I've had a strange noise at 140 (with dawes and exhaust)and 150mph (with loads of mods inc turbo, jets, etc)(on Isle of Mann only!!??). The car was still pulling well, but it was like a vibration/buzz sound that seemed to be from the drivers side. I just wonder if it was from the induction kit?

Hehe....strange that!
Must be our roads!

Used to get it on my old 94 WRX but the 99 TypeRA doesnt do it...

Mark,

i think i may have had the same noise maybe. It would only start at 110mph. Its really difficult to try and judge where it was coming from and i taped up all kinds of gaps etc in an elimination process, this is unless of course yours is coming from the speakers ;) ... I suspected that it was some kind of wind noise somewhere as it only happened above this speed but not all the time. I had the bearings checked, drive shaft, gearbox (thats what i thought it was at first), windscreen rubber, alignment, brake hoses etc.

In the end i changed the suspension and had the sus. alligned and its never made the noise again touch wood.

It was a very loud buzz though!!

Has it ever been in an accident?

Cheers

Paul.

I think it may have been in an accident cos there is some overspray in some parts, I had my tracking checked and one track rod is siezed with 1 degree toe out. I intend to get it sorted soon, maybe its that. could it be coming from the transmition

Cheers
