I am looking at buying a new house in North Surrey
However the house needs a new bathroom & kitchen & I am considering putting in double glazing & a conservatory I want to do a lot of the donkey work myself to keep costs down however I will need a plumber & chippy & probs someone who can do gas & electrics Also can anyone help with conservatory or windows ? Cheers Paul |
Plumbing's easier than you think, I'd do that yourself. It's so hard to find a decent plumber these days

I agree with you mate plumbers are in short supply !
Might go back to college ;) |
Fitting double glazing is easy. Done it in my house and I recon
I could fit a new window quicker than preparing and painting old cr4ppy wood ones. You just remove the old one (frames nailed in on sides as house was built) and bolt in and then mastic/silicon the new UPVC ones in. Jobs a gooden and it's no rocket science. The enermy has got me building the Conservatory now with the Base and walls done and the Frame and Glass arriving on Monday. All for 1/2 the price of some other dodgy bodger doing it. I'm sick of mixing up cement, allready done 12 tons of the stuff and my £50 mixer is getting knackered. |
As i said Paul, i could help with the gas and got contacts for all the other needs. When your in we can talk about it.
