Im after some advice from the tech gurus that no doubt inhabit here.

I have the original Type UK (damn you subaru for changing it so fast ;)) the powers pretty medicore IMO now i know i can get the PPP for the car and whilst its not the most exspensive upgrade in the world its also not the cheapest.

So are there any other options out there or is prodive the only sensible route

Nick,

The 1995 inc VAT question is, do you want to keep your warranty?
If the answer is no then there are several options open(A quick read in drivetrain forum will show whats what)

If the answer is Yes, then the PPP is the only approved power mod that will keep your official warranty.

However, there's more to outright pace than power and options such as the prodrive spring set, and brake upgrades will improve the overall speed of the car rather than just it's straightline speed and drivability.

Of course i totally agree with you but as this is the best handling and braking unmodified car i have owned its the lack of power at the moment thats a problem for me.

oh didnt know there where official brake and suspension mods, my dealer only mentioned the PPP

the warranty of course is important, but not the only consideration, i know many quality tuners offer there own warrantys such as MTM and AMD.

in my opinion the brake mod is a backward move, i had the alcon setup on my p1 and prefer the brembos on my sti, although i havnt been on a track with this one, still waiting for the springs as i have had the n/s/r strut mod which replaces the strut topmount with the sti8 item, means i have to wait for sti8 springs and change the other topmount to match
ppp is great, probablly not worth 2k but if you want more performance and a warranty its the only way
