I am thinking about buying a SWB Sport Quattro as a bit of an investment! Can anyone tell me the best place to look for one on the internet etc!

Nice car Dom, but what makes you think that it'll appreciate?
Unfortunately, like a lot of these Group B monsters, they're being overtaken by "everyday" cars now, with a lot more refinement and so on. There will always be a hardcore demand for cars like this, but as an investment, personally i'd say that it will just depreciate more slowly than most other cars. In 1987, i seriously thought about buying a Quattro Sport. Until i found out the price - £235,000! That was at the top of the mad 80's boom mind you. Today, 40-50k should get you a very well looked after example. |
Coooo - that site.... very nice

I'm obviously not 100% sure that it will appreciate, I have always wanted one and after a bit of investigating and watching prices being asked I personally think that they are at the stage when they will start appreciating slowly! They only made 217, of which only 6 offically came to the UK. I guess quite a few have been written off or converted to race/rally cars so there can't be many more than 150 left in road trim!(Thanks Gary) I could be wrong and lose some money...better than losing it on the Horses I guess!! Fair enough Dom. If you *do* get one, pls let me know, i'd love to see one again!
