Can anyone tell me how to set the shift light on my Sti 7? I have read the manual, which mentions nothing about it. There is a small lever on the dash, labelled revs, which bleeps if i turn it left or right but i cant seem to get it to work, or work out where its at.

Please help...............

I think you shoulf press the button-stick first, so the small screen will show number of revs the beep is set now. Then by turning the button-stick left or right you set desired revs. And then press it again. Something like that.

Hello, as far as I remember (don't have the handbook here) you should turn the lever against the clock until you hear a sound and the outside temp turns into rev. Then you can turn left to decrease and right to increase the rev limits. After 3 seconds, it's set and turn back into temp. If you want to turn the sound alarm on/off I believe you start turning the lever to the right and then choose on/off (right/left).
Sorry, but hopefully you can get it sorted by trying this. By the way, should be in the manual on instruments sect 3?

Cheers

Ignition on (not engine) and use the dial on the left hand side of the clocks to set limit and light :) the outside temperature guage will show the values.

Thanks guys. I kept trying while driving along. I will try with the ignition on only. :)

You can set the light and buzzer with the engine running but you have to be stationary.

What is the best setting for the warning buzzer/light!For best gear changes?

Depends.
I've set mine at 6200Rpm, which for me drops the engine right into the powerband after the gear change. I've left the beep on as it's so easy to forget about the light if you're concentrating ahead.

I think mine comes on at 7,500rpm - no buzzer, just the red light.

I found it distracting flashing at a lower value - immediate thought was that something was wrong, and took my mind off driving for a second.

Don't think I've seen it come on for more than a year now, as I'm very rarely above 6,500rpm.

I've got mine set to 6,500 at the mo and the buzzer and light warnings on for the same reasons as you NIEL?
