01's have the standard subaru 4 pots, I think you'll be spending an awful lot of money, just so that they look good, you should use it, get it on track!!!!! at least that way the big brakes won't be wasted on your car!!

You will be looking at about 2 grand to change to 6 pots...alot of cash just to look good :)

You can get Hi-Spec 6-pots for around £1400 from TSL or a good bit less if you trade-in your original 4-pots.

6-pots (as the name suggests) has two more pistons than 4-pot calipers. It's not quite as simple as that as the pistons vary in sizes. So, your Subaru ones may have 'x'mm diameter pistons, but the 6-pots may have 2 'x'mm, 2 'y'mm and 2 'z'mm if you follow.

Or too put it more simply 6-pots usually have 3 pairs of different size pistons, 2 big, 2 medium and 2 small. Of course, it's not always the case and varies between manufacturers.

IMHO 6-pots are OTT for road use, unless you have lots of long straights and tight hair pins where you live.
