Just bought myself a WR Blue 01 WRX. First thing I have done is to change the STi7 BB that was on there with a scoobysport BB. As I was changing the Sti7 BB I noticed some oil where the gasket was. When I took the Sti7 BB off and looked inside a could see what appeared to abe a pool of oil?? I tipped it upside down and none comes out but I am concerned!!!
P.S It looks like the centre has also been de-catted. Thank you very much P.S Gr8 Web Site!! |
I wonder who you are, i was asked the exact same question at the weekend and it wasnt by no newbie. LOL.

Are you sure its oil? It could be a mixture of exhaust soot and condensation from the cat.
|
It looked thick just like oil, there was a definate pool of it!! Any ideas?

Could be that your turbo or seal is leaking m8.

If my turbo is leaking would I not notice a drop in pressure on my boost gauge? It is still showing full boost!?
And Mr.Zippy plz get off my post Thank you |
Have you tried to tighten the giggle pin? I have a feelin the laughter shaft is doing funny things. If that doesn't help, you'll need a new bi-fluffle valve!!!!! :D:D:D:D ;)
|
You sure it is oil, and not just condensation mixed with soot?
|
No he's not sure as he doesnt know oil from water, stop confusing the poor little hillbilly with words like condensation and soot.
I think he's been drinking that canal water when out in his canoe. SOAS. You could always try tightening the laughter shaft though. Zippy |
Give the guy a break you rotters
|
If it was the turbo it would be smoking big time if it 'was' oil thats in the exhaust...
