just wondering as i had 215\40\17 tyres on my my97 with my01 alloys

sti has 225\40\17 std gold wheels.

Thinking i like the std silvers more (looked better than gold speedlines on the classic) and want to fit them on the sti.

So easy question - can i just fit the 225\45\17 bridgestones on the std alloys or will the tires not fit due to the difference in width?

Deerhunter,

I think you may have a problem fitting the 01 wheels to Sti 8 as they may not clear the Brembo brake calipers !! Not 100% on this so try one on and see.

The STi 7/8 wheels have a different offset to clear the Brembos.
