They are talking UK spec I guess your MY93 must be an import as AFAIK the first UK cars were 1994.

I assumed my v plated 1999 was MY99,
many have said its a MY00???
what gives?

Andy....

ScoobyDoo555 03 June 2003 10:21 PM

If it's a V plate 1999, then it IS an MY99...

Same as mine ;)

Does it have colour coded wing mirrors and door handles?

CBR600F-T 03 June 2003 10:24 PM

black on DGM,

Rasher 03 June 2003 10:30 PM

If it was an MY00 it would have these colour coded, so it's an MY99

Hel 03 June 2003 10:38 PM

Just for some people info you CAN get V Reg 1999 MY00 models, just as you can get S Reg 1998 MY99 models.

Basically if you bought a new car in December 1998 it will "probably" be a MY99 etc

ta, thought as much

Carlos-Fandango 03 June 2003 11:04 PM

If it has colour coded door handles and variable intermitent function on the windscreen wipers it's a 2000, if not its a 99.

Got my dealer to check this out when I bought mine and MY00 models are apparently identified by the 10th letter of the chassis/vin Number being a ‘Y’.
Correct me if I’m wrong but that’s what they told me !!
Carl.

hi
mine's a V reg and was regitered 12/12/99 but it has colour coded door handles etc and is aMY00 think it depends on when they were registered as Hel has said.

trugoy 03 June 2003 11:27 PM

I have an MY00 and it is a V plate, registered in Jan 2000, hope this helps.

Eprom 04 June 2003 12:57 PM

Look at the orange tags, on the bottom piller, of the front seat belts this has the date on them.

Squizz 04 June 2003 01:15 PM

MY00 has variable intermitent function on the windscreen wipers ??

I paid £££ to have colour coded door handles, wing-mirrors, etc.

At least my MY99 doesn't have that dodgy ECU :D

SCOOBY TOWERS 04 June 2003 01:50 PM

MY00 also have different wheels to the MY99's
[rack brain mode on] think MY99's are 5 spoke.
MY00's are six spoke.[rack brain mode off]

chiark 04 June 2003 01:57 PM

Changes MY99>MY00

Wheels. (6 spoke vs 5 spoke)
Rear seat belts support child seat belts (pull em fully out, they will retract and not be able to be pulled out until they are fully retracted to normal position)
Colour coded mirrors, colour coded handles (skirts/rear bumper mouldings still black as standard)
Variable speed intermittant wash wipe (collar on right hand stalk controls this)
Silver metallic finish on the centre console

That's it.

Cheers,
Nick.
(former MY00 owner and proud :D )

Didn't the MY00 have coat hooks in the back as well - my MY99 didn't :(.....;)

SiDHEaD 04 June 2003 02:53 PM

The MY00 also has driver and co-driver map-reading lights :D

Andy

jongould-work 04 June 2003 02:59 PM
