Been searching the next for ages looking for a air pistol but cant find the one i want. I dont know if they make the one i want.
I want:
* one that i can load a few pellets(not BB) in one go. think its called a semi automatic.
* One that i dont need to cock. I think CO2 is the best.
* one where I can keep firing untill i run out of pellets.
* and the most importamt... DESERT EAGLE .50 AE

If these specs are not correct please let me know

Ray

ps. Whats the difference between a CO2 and pre-charged?

Still cant find the Desert Eagle.50 AE. Its just like the one in snatch used by Bullet Tooth Tony and Lara Croft.

Lara Croft uses USP Match's with stainless slide, not DE's

do a search for umarex,6 or 8 shot rotary mag CO2 jobbies, fire pellets as fast as you can pull the trigger.

You get about 60 shots out of one cylinder, but with a bit of fettling the amount of shots can be decreased if you catch my drift

These two are both great suppliers of airguns:

(Check the CO2 section)

i can't remember but i believe the legal limit for rifles is 12lb/ft? and 6 for pistols? (for those without a firearms cert.).

i see some of the co2 pistols are like 2.5lb/ft and 80 shots. would it be easy enough (for a handy DIY person) to modify it (up to the legal limit 6lb/ft - IIRC) and suffer fewer shots?

cheers
steven

Indeed 6ft/lb for pistols, 12ft/lb for rifles.

If you want a pistol, at the MAX power level, 1 choice. An HW45, pricey at about £150ish pounds, but offers a full 5.9ft/lb punch.

CO2 is a good alternate but less power.

Great for plinking, maybe abit of ratting, but not fit to humanely kill anything more than a rat.

My Advice, get an FAC and get some fun stuff :D

nevetas - cheers for the info. but if i wanted to buy a specific one that 'only' had 4 lb/ft is it easy to modify them for more power? but i guess it would be hard to know what the new output is and if it is legal.

Well that tells me some websites cant be trusted on info :D
Also read the DE was used in the Matrix.

Found the Desert Eagle but is fires 6mm BB. Can it be modified to use metal pellts and shoot with more power?

Maxy_UK 04 June 2003 11:58 AM

Dont think BB guns can be modified to fire pellets, although it might be possible to fire stainless bb's.

Have a look here. They only sell airsoft but damn they're realistic :D

Nevetas 04 June 2003 12:25 PM

They can always be modified for more power, but they will get a little inconsistant. You will need to buy a chrono to make sure you stay within the legal limit.

The HW45 has everything power, design, accuracy. The other's are 'plinkers' this is a proper air pistol.

Depends what you want to do with it, shoot coke cans? Shoot rats? Shoot your mates ;) let me know...

For more shooting related stuff have a look at http://www.nevetas.com password to the shooting section is bullet.

Keep it safe.

Nevetas

Good Website mate.

Is there a difference in shooting metal BB's and Pellets?
I only want the pistol for shooting cans and targets not for hunting. Thats why I want one that does not need cocking because i dont really want to move the gun when iv lined it up.

Ray_li 04 June 2003 02:39 PM

stupid qestion time:

Whats BlowBack and Airsoft?

Nevetas 04 June 2003 02:41 PM

If it's just can's and targets than BB's will suit you fine.

Take a look at http://tinyurl.com/dfzn some nice examples there
