Hmmm  Never thought of this. Mine is an import and often struggles to get through so I would be interested in knowing as well

I don't know, but you are fine to just put plain old optimax into an import to fill the tank (hence diluting any booster in there) just to get an MOT, and then you could add the booster later. It takes a few miles of swift road driving for the effects of NF at least to be seen as in mixes with a full tank and reaches your injectors.

i have not found octane rating to make much of a difference to the cat test.. Getting the cat as hot as possible before the test will give you the best results..

It's not so much the octane as what else is popping out of your zorst.

On the NOS octaine booster box it says that it reduces co2 levels so I was wondering if would be a helper?

Taken from scoobymania website, millers octane +,
MAY reduce emissions

So is the emissions thing true or not ??

Charlie H 04 June 2003 03:57 PM

I hope so as I use millers in mine :)

Anybody got any with & without emissions data?
