Apart from the Dyson website does anyone know of anywhere else you can buy spares, a new hose for instance.

Thanks

Dave

Is it just ours, or are do all Dysons have crap build quality?

Cheers

Funkii Munkii 31 May 2003 11:58 AM

I cant complain really that hose has been stretched many many times to get to the top two stairs in the past 5 years so its done well, only had to change filters, no other probs.

I meant to say anywhere else on the high street :)

Toonman1 31 May 2003 12:05 PM

Maybe it's just ours then Funkii.

Tools fall from their holders and then fall off when in use, the handle's coming apart, the brushes come adrift at the front, the hose hasn't split, just comes away from the holder (stuck together with tank tape at present) etc etc.

Funkii Munkii 31 May 2003 12:14 PM

LOL at the tools, they were always going to fall off :D:D

Admitedly I've taken it apart twice in five years just to clear out all the crap that builds up in the nooks and crannies (sp?)

See no footy on and you spend your Saturday mornings talking about hoovers , get out and mow that lawn ;)

druddle 31 May 2003 12:15 PM

Theres a shop in Wokingham, Berks that sells all the parts.

As for the lawn - the gardener does that.

Cheers

<watches as handbags fly forth>

The Dyson we have has been pretty good, the tools fall off as they all seem to do and the only thing to replace was the filter IIRC. I don't sort the hoovering though. ;)

I watch the footie. :D

"It was in jest Toonman"

Never would've guessed Funkii...

Cheers! :)

Also worth a try calling Dyson (number plastered all over vac), my mates was 4 yrs old and no ext gtee when it went pop. Dyson engineer came to his house and did a full service, replacing 7 major parts (should have cost over £140) and was charge max call out fee of £40. Bargain!

dba 31 May 2003 10:01 PM

under warranty Dyson will collect from your house and re-deliver
