Anyone got experience of Ducal Furniture ?

Ducal pine furniture which was the biggest manufactuer of pine in the uk has closed its factory according to the trade

you might pick up some bargains on ex-display shop modles but you wont get any soon

Corndell is now the best pine manufactuer at the top end of the market .
every bit as good as ducal and 30% cheaper

So a £2.5 K dining set for a monkey is a deal then !!

the ducal website(www.ducal.com) also say that the andover "shop" is closed(shame as it has loads of unusual displays unlike most shops which have all the same items).

I though that Corndell had taken over ducal but that the ducal name was continuing(but I may be wrong on this count). The ducal website even says that there is a new range for July 2003.

You often see shops giving 33 to 40% off during the sales

R6 CDW - can you find out what the score is re ducal from your mate, ie are they continuing etc

they're closing down in andover.

R6 CDW - we all seem to agree that the andover shop is closed, but will we still be able to buy Ducal furniture(eg the new range they mention on their website) from other shops. Does your mate know?
