What are the best pedalts to fit to a MY99 classic, and how hard is it. As homer simpson would say, if somethings hard to do, dont.

adge 28 May 2003 11:42 PM

STi pedals, easy peasy.

richiewong 28 May 2003 11:43 PM

STi pedals, cost a bit but easy to fit and look the dogs..

So then being a bit simple where do you get these from and do they come complete with an idiots guide?

ragnarock2 29 May 2003 08:43 AM

Graham Goode Racing www.grahamgoode.com Come with an instruction manual, which is easy to read if you understand Japanes Kanji (I don't, and relied on the pretty little pictures!)

Those look like (my) Sparco ones. Very easy to fit, requires use of drill with good metal drill bits. Really do make a difference to the feel of the pedals and good for heel and toeing (not that I do that often ;) )

Got Sparco on mine Nuclear. Didn,,t u see on Sunday ??

nuclear_pond 29 May 2003 05:47 PM

Nah, must have missed them. To busy looking at your front splitter and bumper :)

Nice thing about the STi set is you get the foot rest plate.

Sparco are clearly better value though.

Hi All,

word of caution

from your thread you are drilling through standard pedals

if metal pedals wern,t fitted as standard

you can be prosecuted!!! feds again

apparantly it contravenes the regs for use or somthing similar

as in you must replace like for like

apparantly rubber pedals must be replaced with rubber

and if you prang the motor mr ins & co will probably decline to

pay as they could argue contributory factors

bummer i know cos i want to do it myself
