I am now in a worried - scared sense of reality after this happening.

I was heading home this evening, overtook someone - not even high on boost or revs. But just a bit down the road I noticed the oil pressure gauge was low at 3.5K revs - about 2 Bar. I let off the revs & it dropped to ZERO bar.

I got really worried, pulled in & noticed some smoke coming from under the bonnet. I opened the bonnet & the smoke was coming from around the turbo heat shroud, turbo & downpipe area. The car is a MY94. I also noticed splashes of oil on the front of the intercooler. Tried having a look to see where it was coming from. Thought is was a pipe but cant see any. Have noticed theres oil around the knock sensor and aonther bolt under the front of the intercooler.

It starts but has what sounds like a ticking noise & the pressure stays at 0 Bar unless you rev a little (didnt rev much but a little to see does the oil pressure move). It never climbs above 2 Bar.

I'm a good bit more worried about the problem now as I thought & hoped it was a pipe or connection but now the noise is worrying me greatly.

If anyone has had a similar problem or heard of one or even any info on what the problem is or what may be wrong or knows what the problem or the ticking is, a reply would be more than greatly appreciated, as I am now thinking in empty wallet sense.

Best Regards

Johny.
