anyone heard of a 6K ecu, and know what model it is off?

thanks but it is a standard looking ecu case, and just has 6k written on the top, where mine has 2c
|
I heard. I have it installed on my car.

Find below a list of all ECU I have currently come into contact with, and their origin :
7K is 1996 WRX STi Type RA Z5 is 1995 WRX Type RA W9 is 1994/995 WRX Type RA 2C, W6, U8 appear to be 1993-1994 WRX Z4 is 1995 WRX V9 is 1993-1994 WRX Wagon 3B is 1995 WRX Wagon V7 is 1994/1995 UK Saloon or Wagon or Aus WRX 7D is 1993/1994 UK Saloon or Wagon 6D is European Saloon or Wagon WRX Wagon and Saloon ECU in some cases have been found to be un-compatible A 7K runs slightly more boost then a Z4, more advance and more fuel. Genrally I expect most WRX Saloon ECU's to be interchangable, and likewise WRX Wagon. Although personally I would not swap a 7K into an earlier car due to the the extra advance that it runs (the RA can probably handle it but a stock WRX may not have the smae internals/compression ratio). For you info the map in a 2C is p:(:(!!! |
Ehhh. Sorry my mistake. I told about E6K Haltech.
But tryied some ECUs. Interchangeable are with the same phase version and the same connector and same pinouts. Sti Ecu will not work on GT because it has other pins for cam and crank senzor. Phase 1 ECU will not work on Phase 2 due to different idling system. Also sometimes problems appears with immobilisers. |
I have a 6K in a 1995 STi II
|
Probably similar to a 7K from an STi 2 RA
These can be remapped to 16.5psi I think these have a socket already fitted in the ECU, but unlike STi 1 the map is on the main board. A 7K base map peaks at 13.6psi, so I expect the 6K to be similar. [Edited by Scott.T - 9/27/2003 6:22:26 PM] |
I have a 6k ecu in my stiII. Sent a pictures of the mother board to Scott to have a look at & I was told it does not have a socket so i pressume all 6K will be the same. Hopefully soom i will have the re-mapped to 16.5psi, just waiting for my holidays as i use the car to travel to work.
