How do I do it?!?!?!?!?!!?

I've downloaded the Nokia PC Suite (53Mb :eek: ) and have the Nokia data cable. I just can't make the laptop use the phone as a modem [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

Whenever I try and connect thru it it tells me that the modem is not properly configured.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to use my 6310 as a modem on my XP pro laptop, all I did was connected the cable to the com port and the mobile, PC found the modem (installed it as a standard modem).

Configured the dialling plan, and it worked!

are you on O2 ?- I am and it dont feckin work - you have to sign up for data calls at about £1.50 per meg

I used my 6310 for Data calls on T-Mobile, VodaFone and o2 with no extra charges other than the calls.

1st things first...

Are you signed to GPRS?

Then

Have you downloaded your Operator's relevant connection software? ConnectMe for Voda or O2 Mobile Web for guess who or equivalent?

Forget what the phone makers give you - it don't work unless you know the network settings.
