Ok, so does anyone know why is a Scooby called a Scooby?

its short for scooby doo that sounds like subaru obviously!!

I had kind of thought that, but wasn't 100% sure. Thought there might be some other link to Scooby Doo other than just sounds like.

scooby doo was orginally used as rhyming slang for a xr2, and i guess as a lot of scooby owners previously had xr2's (scoobydoos) it has probably carried on.

just a thought :-), not trying to make any connections between impreza's and xr2's in any way.

used in a film to refer to a subaru saleman as "he sells scooby doos" but I cant remember the film

also, 'scooby dooby doo' fit's the lyrics of every song ever made!

try it! if you're unsure of the lyrics, just sing 'scooby dooby doo' in the same style as the song and you're away!
