When we were at the Ring last Easter, I actually managed to blag a ride out in that car!

He did a lap of the Ring like no other car I've ever been in, and it was the most awesome car related experience of my entire life.

The car is still FWD, but the only way I can describe his driving style is similar to that of drifting. His throttle control was unbelievable, and we were sideways round every corner..... in the rain!

He would approach the corner, and then set the car up on the brakes, then power the car through the corner, making minor corrections with the steering wheel, and all the real correction with the throttle.

Mike Rainbird will confirm how mental the driving was, as he also got out in it that day as well. I think he will also confirm that the guy is slightly mad as well!

What a mental ride :D:D:D

thats not a twin cam is it, where has the engine come from? that looks more like a 1.6 sohc honda lump

it does go like stink though, seen him in action at the ring, not for long though as we were left for dead by it

Glorious stuff!

Those two E30 M3s giving it some stick was great to watch. But to watch that Mini hack it through the bends gaining on summink that does really go round corners like the M3

First time I've seen a lap of the old circuit.

Confirmed my thoughts on a weekend out there in the Merc.... Might have to get myself a cheap ratter and strip n cage it and take that round there instead mind...

Plan hatching already!

Here is a picture of my brothers mini with a standard 1.6 VTEC engine producing 170BHP. Future mods involve supercharging it (bolt on kits available) if the rules allow!
