Hi,

I'm still confused.

What should the power of this model be?

I hear from different sources it's either the 220bhp or the 240bhp.

If so, how did Subaru down the power output? What about the torque?

I've recently put in a magnex backbox and a blitz induction kit now running on SUL and it seems to pick up very quickly.

QUICK QUESTION!

1 - What would people with this type of model do next? Change the down pipe? New Chip? Which one for this model - the possum link?

I'm just about to do a 40kmile service which I'll treat as a 45k service due to no service history when I bought the car (bought it at 22k miles and serviced every 6k miles). I might do all other mods with it then?

2 - Should I just do nothing - save the pennies and get an STi 5 door and spend hard earned cash on that?

thanks in advance for your replies

My 96 wrx 5 door gave 220bhp when almost standard.

Re Tuning... Save your pennies and aim for an STI. The standard STI car was so much better in every department except brakes (I had brembos on the wrx) than a modified wrx 5dr that it didn't feel as fast, at first, until you got used to how smooth the car is and how quick it is travelling.
