I saw one today, you know the one i mean, with the panels all different colors.(why anyone would buy one of them is beyond me)

Just wondering though, what color would the car be on the log book?????

No one knows then?

At least if you bump a panel, you can just go to the scrappies and get a replacement, you don't have to care about the colour so no expensive respraying costs! :D:D

Yeah, I've seen a few over the years. Not quite sure what VW were thinking of there........

Yeah, I've seen a few over the years. Not quite sure what VW were thinking of there........

I happen to read about it the other day......apparently it was something along the lines of......VW did one as a special show car/to show the colours available or something along those lines....

Anyway, people wanted them and the demand was so great that it warranted them doing a small production run or something....

Something like that anyway :)

I thought Ford did a special Sierra that had a dull burgundy body and black unpainted bonnet and front wings :D.

camk,

Its funny you say that... I once had an old Ford that had panels that were all different colours...

can't believe that VW thought that cars should be made like that new !!

Can't imagine that they are easy to shift on once you want to sell it..

Actually, I think according to Parkers there may be a small premium for the Harlequin over a standard Polo! I can't remember exactly as I wasnt really that interested.......

I think, if I'm right, it to do with the fact that there arent very many about........

If I remember correctly the buyer could state what colour they wanted for which car body part

camk 20 May 2003 04:02 PM

How would the Wax Wizard deal with that then...PMSL ;)

LOL JonMorris

I dare someone to actually go into Halfords and ask for a touch up stick for one of these.

Also, I wonder what you would do if you wanted to add a bodykit ?

Maybe I should just say my Scoob is an Impreza Harliquin...

After all, there are enough shades of green on it ;)
