It was driving out of the Subaru area when it met a marshall in a Sierra coming the other way.
As you may have seen, there was little room for 2-way traffic and the 2 cars touched.
The guy got out and went ape at the marshall!

codhead 18 May 2003 04:25 PM

RICE

RRH 18 May 2003 05:22 PM

I saw it. the w*nker got out to have a chat whilst holding up a very angry *me* trying to go home, and a very angry marcshall trying to get to an incident.

skoobidude 18 May 2003 05:55 PM

I was amazed at the fact that the guy was about 7 stone and was talkin to the marshall like a piece of dirt.
The car wasn't even scratched anyway.

RRH 18 May 2003 06:04 PM

anyway, hasn't television come a long way in the last few years.

they weren't making things like that when I watched blue peter;)

would love to know how he got that paint to stick to the fairy liquid bottle:D

David_Wallis 18 May 2003 06:21 PM

Either way, you lot would be the same if someone bumped into your car..

RRH 18 May 2003 06:24 PM

In which case it would have been wise to let a marshall, with flashing lights illuminated, get to where he needs to go, and not be so arrogant to think that it should be the marshall gives way.

Ali Scott 18 May 2003 07:28 PM

Saw that civic parked in the SIDC member area and wondered if the guy had forgotten what car he came in..

oh well horrible looking car anyway I think...

Paulo P 19 May 2003 01:25 PM

Saw it and p!ssed ourselves laughing :D:D:D:D:D

springbok 19 May 2003 01:54 PM

Marshalls are at these events for everyones safety, if the guy in the civic was the one in need of help I'm sure he would have appreciated it.
Although looking at that car I doubt it would ever get onto a track.

RRH 19 May 2003 02:52 PM

Marshalls were trying to get to another incident at quarry when they met the civic coming the other way.

not quite sure what he was doing in our parking though?

what would scooby do 19 May 2003 03:38 PM

What a turd of a car, you guys should have set fire to it while you had the chance :(

RRH 19 May 2003 03:43 PM

looks like its melted already;)

NACRO 19 May 2003 03:53 PM

Hardly need to say that it looks like a dollop, but I will anyway.

Paulo P 19 May 2003 04:52 PM

I think I saw it in marlow last night too

Paulo P 19 May 2003 04:53 PM

Oh and looked even worse from the back

Falski 20 May 2003 10:05 AM

Come on guys no need to be harsh, obviously the guy's put a lot of time and effort into making the car what it is, lets appreciate someone else's work, I personally think it looked radical, and to be honest it was getting a lot of attention, and I'm sure thats what the objective was.

Falski 20 May 2003 10:11 AM

Paulpalmer, I think the back is the best feature of the car and it looks awesome with those afterburners turned on, I wouldn't be surprised if youv'e seen the car in Marlow, cause the guys from High Wycombe, just down the road from you, oh and the funny part is the guy owns a Subaru impreza turbo Terzo edition which features a blue silver flip, he should me some pics it looked v.nice, with some one off mods done to body, not as extreme as the civic, but nice and subtle. And as for taking the car on the track, I'm sure thats not the reason the guy build the car, it was primarily build for street cred, anyway I was talking to the guy at japfest, And Clifty from redline magazine, he has different views to you guys, and loved it, and took some pics, so don't be surprised to see it on the front cover, same go's with the editor of Banzai.

Scoobybraids 20 May 2003 10:23 AM

I like it :D Looks like time and effort have gone into this car.
I'd be chuffed to drive down the road in this car because you get guaranteed looks!!!

dsmith 20 May 2003 10:24 AM

"it was primarily build for street cred"

oh dear, sorry to hear he's wasted his time.

Deano

Fat Boy 20 May 2003 10:27 AM

It's completely horrible M*x P*wer tat, and a massive waste of his time and money. It sounds like he confirmed his lack of judgement by blocking a marshal who was trying to get to an incident so I don't think he needs any sympathy.

Scoobybraids 20 May 2003 10:30 AM

I wasn't giving him sympathy, I was just saying my thoughts on the look of the car.

David_Wallis 20 May 2003 11:01 AM

well shock horror I actually like it.. nicer than some scoobs Ive seen and theres a lot of work gone into that.

David

Falski 20 May 2003 11:02 AM

I was there at the time of the incident with the marshall, hate to dissapoint you guys but it was the marshalls fault, he was a **** driver , the civic was just going past and obviously had to give way to the marshall, but because of the limited space it was a bit difficult. For the record the guy was NOT blocking the marshall he moved out of the way, but the marshall was once again a **** driver, and he didn't have any flashing lights on the car or anything, it was a bog standard sierra estate, no signs, no nothing, I don't know where you guys come up with things that don't even exist.

Falski 20 May 2003 12:00 PM

BTW the car would leave many a subaru impreza turbo, including mine in a straight line, it features a Civic type R engine with a turbo, suffice to say it will be a bullet in a straight line, and I know what you guys are gonna say, about the twisties, but I rest my case.

Paulo P 20 May 2003 02:41 PM

Those afterburner lights still look sh!t

Falski 20 May 2003 03:05 PM

Paulpalmer those afterburners are all you'll be seeing if you want I can arrange a rumble for you down the marlow bypass, are you up for the challenge?, don't come out with bull**** like what do I have to prove etc.
