Dam screen resolution is set at 1024 x 768 and my desktop pc is set to 1280 x 1024 so I'm finding it a little too small here on the laptop, never mind the mouse pad thing you get on these things !!
the slider bar within display properties is at maximum ! Is there anyway to force the thing (15" lcd disply) to a better screen res ?????? God! I even have to scroll to get to the submit button |
I dont believe there is

Some chipsets allow a 'virtual desktop' whereby you see a (for example) 1024x768 window on a 1280x1024 desktop, which slides around as you move the mouse.

It's the sliding around using the mouse (or pad in this case) I want to get away from.

You'll be asking if you can stick a square peg in a round hole next ;):p
If the laptops screen and chipset can't go any higher, then your only option is the virtual display I'm afraid. Have you double-checked the spec of the laptop? If it's a recent model (<2yrs), I'm surprised it can only go as far as 1024x768. Stefan |
Most laptop screens are fixed at 1024x768. Some will do 1400x1050 or even 1600x1200, but there aren't too many models that can achieve those resolutions.
The easy way to tell is to right-click on the desktop background, click Properties, choose the Settings tab and try a few different resolutions out. You can't go higher than the screen's native resolution, though. |
Brand new :D
