Seems SCO are planning on coming down hard on Linux users (or at least talking about it/threatening it). Their gripe is that Linux was built on code that is SCO's intellectual property, and they now want compensation. They are currently in court against IBM and are claiming $1 billion damages :eek:

The law suit is old news, but the letter to all linux users is pretty recent. They've also withdrawn their own linux product, which was just announced too.

Yeah, the lawsuit has been going on since at least January.

SCO aren't doing too well and they'll do anything to try and get back on top. It's unfortunate they've done this and it will take a long time for it to play out, unfortunately some companies will order their IT departments to remove Linux just in case.

It makes no difference to me, all my unices are BSD :)
