File may be locked for edit because someone else has the file open, or the PC crashed whilst the file was open so the temporary lock file has not been removed.

Other possibility is it is Office XP which has not been activated and you have used the programs more than the nn times Microsoft allow.

Activated Friday, was fine.

AS for one file, its every document i have + downloaded ones!!! which is why im now stumped.

Especially with a deadline in 12 hours times :eek:

There will be a hidden .tmp or lock file (starting with a tilde - ~) somewhere that is preventing you from opening the file.

Nothing may have crashed, its just that we all know how flaky Micropoop software is.....

cant use Power Point, Excel, Word, Visio Pro, Out Look. All locked down for some reason :(
