According to Official Nintendo Mag, the guy who created Mario let it slip at a press conference of the release of Zelda that Nintendo has secured the rights to the MGS series of games.
If true, interesting how that pans out, what with the PS2 losing it's exclusive GTA franchise this year and now MGS *possibily* going. |
omg nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I really hopoe thats not true as nothing will ever make me get a nintendont :D |
hmmm...
just watched the demo. Looks pretty ish. I just hope the story is better that 2. That stank worse than a month dead dog :( Wtf is with him "eating a snake" looks more like commando now :D After completing splinter cell its got a whole lot to catch up in terms of atmosphere. |
Its true Nintendo have the rights to Metal Gear Solid.
In fact, the first one, that appeared on PS1 is being converted for the Cube right now. I think its called "Twin Snakes" -DV |
As for the storyline of MGS2 - it got hacked to pieces at the last moment.
It was originally due to come out November 2001, but after what happened with September 11th, tons of references to the World Trade Centre had to be removed / reworked. -DV |
confirmed.
Miyamoto-san said recently he's working with Konami on a remake of MGS 1 (ala Resident evil GC), but with enhanced engine and storyline. Also MSG4 onwards will be GC exclusives. :D Joy! Did you kow: MGS first appeareed on the NES MGS3, like splinter cell for the xbox, will be PS2 exclusive for first 6 months or so, then multiformat. |
Erm, "Metal Gear Solid 3: The Rambo Year's" anyone?
The franchise is about covert spy mission's not some sort of vietnam / Rambo 3D shooter! It's a c-c-c-c-c-c-ash in people! |
