Bought one of these yesterday for the PS2, and played on it til the early hours testing all the right games, CMR3, WRC2, GT3, Toca etc. (Didnt work well on Toca)

Not sure if I actually like it though. My old PS1 wheel was light and easy to steer, whereas the Logitech is bloody hard work, even with Force Feedback switched off.

Nearly broke my arms last night just trying to steer around the hairpins in GT3. They are quite heavy, and steering into any skids is more of a journey than a simple flick of the hands.

So do they bed in after a while and loosen up, or is it time to return it to HMV, and get something else?

Wanted one for both PC/PS2 really. :(

Change of plan. Just re-packaged it to take back. Had a problem with it on GT3 where you couldn't change gear whilst cornering. Apparently its a standard fault with them, so no joy there then :(

Back to dualshock 2 :(

The Logitech Momo is for the PC - the DrivingForce is the only one for the PS2

My PS1 wheel was great, remember getting it the day Gran Turismo came out. Was on the game for about 13 hours non stop :D:D

Wheel was a Logic3 Top Drive :)

Any of the PC USB wheels should be OK with the PS2.

Think I will buy the wingman formula from Logitech, £30 and it is supposed to work on PS2 sometimes as well :)

Should be good for LFS ;)

Dream Weaver 12 May 2003 10:46 AM

S55 - they dont list it as working for the PS2 cos they would lose sales on the driving force.

Unofficially, some of the PC wheels do work on PS2 :)

Actually the best wheel is supposed to be the Momo one, but it's a lot of money.

Haven't tried my Thrustmaster with the PS2 yet -- I'll give it a go and let you know how I get on.
