Some little ******* did a similar thing to my lancia not so long ago, thankfully a mate who was passing by got a partial registration. I told the police about it and they tried to charge me without about 50 different offences whilst doing nothing to find the person who ran into my car. Thankfully I kept an eye out and found the car that did it not so long ago and got the money for the repairs off of them. Or, as you might expect, their dad, whose car it was.

There I was p*ssed off about a small dent on my front wheel arch that some tw*t did to my car last week.. Seeing your mis-fortune, puts it all into perspective....

I bet you said a few choice words.........!@*!*@£$£"!

Hope that the pr*tt that did that to your car, hits a tree...!!!

Thats why I like living here. No-one even notices your car -as there are basically bmws, porsche and mercedes... Subaru, "whats that then?" you often hear.

Fat Boy Slim 07 May 2003 11:38 AM

How annoying I hope who catch how did it any CCTV camera's where the car was parked?

slacker 07 May 2003 03:31 PM

chris sorry to hear what happened...

at least i did my own damage by backing into an invisisble parking meter! looks very serious so you might have to scrap your car, I'll take your rear left light ;)

seriously, only money can heal...the bumper looks similar to mine so the bodywork shop might be able to heat the bumper and push that nasty looking dent back out but don't expect it to look 100% though! if you can suggest to replace it

Cheers slacker,

She goes into hospital on mon to have her bumper amputated and a new prosthtic fitted.

ozzy 07 May 2003 04:34 PM

Sh!t Chris, that looks worse than you mentioned :(

Haven't seen the 03 up close, so it'll be good to get a look at it in the flesh once it's fixed :)

A mate of mine got his car wrote off by a 3 tonne electric milk float that drove into the side of it. Except we didn't know it was the milk man as he didn't leave a note. It took 3 weeks of investigating, before we found the idiot that did it. Of course the insurance company was informed and also the police. The milkman got the sack and about 7 people cancelled their milk with that company. HAHA...

I hope that your "idoit" gets the same treatment! Good luck mate.

You cant see it from the piccy but there is a bad crack in the bumper too, and since the photo was taken the bumper is peeling its self off at the right hand side when traving at more than 80mph. (private road and all that pish).

YO STEFAN, told you it wase'nt good, But come mon i'll give u a shout and we can do the beveridge thing we talked about.

cheers chris

Na, I dont get that in my car.
A friend had a bakery van back into his Golf outside his flat and drive of leaving a damaged bumper. Someone from anther shop saw this, took the regestration and put a note under the wiper saying come in and get the details from me. He called the bakery up and they were over the moon that he didnt go to the police and were more than willing to pay for the repair without question.
