This morning, I noticed the clock in the instrument panel of my 99 turbo wasn't working. After some careful adjustment (hitting the dash) it flickered on and went off again. The question is, how easy is it to get to the back of the dash to fix the loose connection???

pretty easy to remove the instrument cluster on a 99
two screws on the shrowd, then carefully pull that forward and remove, then there are three screws one either side at the bottom, and one in the middle at the top of the instrument cluster Then what I do, is tilt the cluster forward, ond almost turn it upside down, so I can remove the cable connectors Then it is just a matter of negotiating the cluster past your steering wheel, do this with car & towel, or you could end up scratching your plastic cover !! I had a similar problem with the clock on my old MY99 Sport, and it turned out to be a faulty bright switch :) Hope this helps Steve |
