Some stupid tw@ Pulled out infront of my mrs as she was driving home wednesday, dry, straight road, good vis, approaching x-roads, small van waiting to turn off right, coming the other way. She backs off the throttle, covers the brake (just in case) I reckon she was 20 feet away from passing him then BANG!! dont ask me, i reckon he had his eyes closed and no, it wasnt the sunsine either.
The moral of the story is she had a seat belt on, if she didnt she would have been dead!!! If there is anyone out there that dos'nt, please put it on m8s, there is always some tw@t out there that will try to kill you no matter how good a driver you are! It could'av been me scoob but it wasnt, not that i would have cared less realy, she was still in the car when i got there which realy cut me up.Shes now black & blue from the seat belt & whiplash injury. luckily it wasnt a kev either, i would av ripped his f****** head off!
Stay Safe.

Hope your wife makes a full recovery m8.
Too many people don't wear a seat belt because they don't think it will happen to them!
Better to be safe than sorry.

My belt plus airbag saved my life in 96 when a drunk hit me head on at over 100mph and with my speed a combined impact of around 170mph, thank god for belts and airbags, hope you nearest gets well pretty soon.
Cheers
Colin

Thanks chaps!
Colin, even with an SRS and seat belt, you are one lucky man!
She was realy lucky, no airbag either and she didnt catch her face on the wheel thank christ.

best wishes to your wife mate. My cousin was killed about years ago due to not wearing a seatbelt. He died in my aunties arms in the ambulance. It may not be hip or comfortable, but its a tad more comfy than getting hurled through your windscreen.

Best wishes to you and your wife, hope shes better soon,

Cal

I escaped two crashes COMPLETELY unhurt because of the seatbelt. The one was while doing 50mph and the other one while doing 85mph.

JUST TO ADD TO YOUR APPEAL WEAR THEM IN THE BACK AS WELL PEEPS a rear passenger will have in flight weight of about 600kg and that will hit you on the back of ya head and thats at 50 mph

That's me (apart from the girlfriend).
