Basically all it does is enable you to set the boost to what ever level you want... If you want more boost than what your fuel cut is set at on your car then you will need a fuel cut raiser..
[Disclaimer] be careful..!!! get an air fuel ratio gauge/meter i.e a dawes AFR or a lambdalink... and possibley a knock link. all info here: Dan:D [Edited by dhorwich - 5/2/2003 7:15:54 PM] |

Get a boost gauge ;) Rob [Edited by tweenierob - 5/3/2003 1:49:34 AM] |
Does the dawes devise work as a standalone or do I need some other kit, fuel cut etc, could it be used with a super chip if monitored or will a chip do the same job?
|
oh yea.....;);) i just presumed he would have one...!!!!! everyone has a boost gauge dont they...
Dan:D |
The Knocklink would be the most important one to get along with the boost gauge, especially when you start upping boost. You need to know if the car is detting which is the killer of engines and what boost you're running.

I do have a defi heads up boost gauge.;). But I think a knocklink sounds good.
I have a superchip here thats not on the car, might put it back on and get lots of monitoring gear, what do you rekon to that idea? Stupid or a might be alright? |
There are better alternatives than a super chip.... Ive not heard any good words about them....
I do know a guy who had a wagon though who got his car super chipped and it later blew up...To much boost and no saftey mechanism to control/monitor it. Dan:D |
oh yea..... i just presumed he would have one...!!!!! everyone has a boost gauge dont they... Who was it that said that anyway? :D |
