Right, I'm having another productive debate at w*rk. This time, over an advert that supposedly existed about 15 years ago  :D

Apparantley Mr Soft was a kind of Michelen Type guy :D But he was white & made out of mints or something  Oh, he banged into lamposts & letter boxes :D It sounds to me like he was really watching somebody wearing a white shirt walking home from the pub one night :D

So did he really exist? :D

Cheers :D  :D

Nick VR4 01 May 2003 11:29 AM

Yeap I remember
The song with the add was Mr Soft by Cockney Rebel I think

:)

Little Miss WRX 01 May 2003 11:53 AM

I remember the advert too.

Hey Mr Soooooooooft.....

druddle 01 May 2003 11:53 AM

Wasnt Mr Soft in the first Trebor Softmints adverts, where everything was white and (funnily enough) soft !!!

Dave

Crush 01 May 2003 11:55 AM

Mr Soft Indeed  :D He sounded like a bit of a divvy :D

Why isn't he still on the telly? :D

Sing: "Mr Soft, won't you tell my why the world in which you're living is so straaaange."

I have a friend who walks exactly like him - nicknamed Mr Soft.
:D:D

CEL 01 May 2003 11:58 AM

Hillarous advert :D

Mr Softs walk made me laugh more than anything. There are certain everyday people that walk very much the same way ;) do u know what i mean? :D

Nick VR4 01 May 2003 11:59 AM

Trebor Softmints (Mr. Soft)

Mr. Soft, won't you tell me why the world in which your living is so strange...
Oh, Mr. Soft, how come everything around is so soft and rearranged..

[narrator]

Bite through the shell of a trebor softmint and everything turns chewy and soft.
They're crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside.

DJ Dunk 01 May 2003 12:06 PM

They're crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside - ARMADILLO !! :D :D

Crush 01 May 2003 02:04 PM

Dime bars are great! :D

I developed an addiction to them a while back. I ended up buying them by the box :D

druddle 01 May 2003 02:28 PM

Have you tried the Dime (Daim) pieces ? Got them from Ikea in Wembley recently. Yummy.

Crush 01 May 2003 02:53 PM

I haven't had one for a while. Cause they just get me started on eating them like mad again  :D

They sound nice though :D

Gordo 01 May 2003 02:59 PM
