Edited coz I didn't write anything - hit the wrong button...
I have a flat spot in the rev range between 2500 and 3100 rpm. It's a little less noticable once the car's warmed up, but it is bloody annoying. Would a tune up sort this out? Full, rolling road tune up, or the other sort? It's a '93 1.8 GL, by the way. 87000 miles, all the usual stuff. Any ideas? Ta. Chris. [Edited by Franx - 4/30/2003 11:52:32 AM] |
Come on....anyone?! |
Sounds like you need new plugs at 90k (if the service intervals are the same as turbos?) or possibly a dodgy HT lead as I presume they will have been on since new.
|
New plugs then?
Probably just do that myself then, rather than spend too much at the dealers. How do I know if they're knackered? Carbon deposits etc? Ta! C. |
They eventually degrade like most other parts.
Check your service history and if a big service is due then chances are you will need plugs. |
I had the same Franx-felt it was missing a bit as well.
Got some HKS plugs and it seemed to do the trick! |
