Edited coz I didn't write anything - hit the wrong button...

I have a flat spot in the rev range between 2500 and 3100 rpm. It's a little less noticable once the car's warmed up, but it is bloody annoying. Would a tune up sort this out? Full, rolling road tune up, or the other sort?
It's a '93 1.8 GL, by the way. 87000 miles, all the usual stuff.
Any ideas?
Ta. Chris.

Come on....anyone?!

Sounds like you need new plugs at 90k (if the service intervals are the same as turbos?) or possibly a dodgy HT lead as I presume they will have been on since new.

New plugs then?
Probably just do that myself then, rather than spend too much at the dealers. How do I know if they're knackered? Carbon deposits etc?

They eventually degrade like most other parts.

Check your service history and if a big service is due then chances are you will need plugs.

I had the same Franx-felt it was missing a bit as well.

Got some HKS plugs and it seemed to do the trick!
