Anyone out there got a HKS Fmic?

I have managed to get hold of one for my beastie (STI5)....

How does the d/v attatch to it?

Is it possible to use my Forge Re-Circ as I do not want to use a HKS Vta as it will spank my fuelling.....

P20SPD 29 April 2003 12:24 PM

Tim-W i guess is near you with one.

TBMeech 29 April 2003 12:27 PM

Cheers Steven,

I'll drop him an email :)

HKS do 2 versions of the pipework that connects to the throttle body, one with a regular 30-something mm pipe for the tube fitter bov's, and one with a fitting for their own BOV, but that one comes with an adapter for the regular flange style MY99/00 bov's (iirc).

:)

SecretAgentMan,

Just the info i'm looking for :) - Much appreciated.

It's got the tube part on the pipework (Well off the Samco Hoses), so my thinking is....

1) Get the flange fitting kit from HKS - if they sell it seperately....

2) Get one made up at my local stainless fabricators to my specification, ie. have the flange with a tube which can be inserted into the Samco tube and then held on with a Jubilee Clip, then I can use my Forge without having to use a HKS dv which I don't like.

:)

Toby, your second option is how my aps pipework connects to my forge recirc.

TBMeech 29 April 2003 01:11 PM

Steven,

Did your APS come with that as part of the kit?

Or did you have it made up yourself?

Final question, if you're feeling generous, could you mail me some piccys please :)

P20SPD 29 April 2003 01:30 PM

Came with the kit, i will take some pics form you. Email me tonight about 7ish and remind me:rolleyes:.

It is quite simple basically, a flange that is the exact same shape as the flange on the Forge DV, with a hole bored in the middle, then a small tube welded to the flange for the boost pipe to connect to.

I posted an image up a while ago, i will see if i can find it.

Steven

Thanks Steven,

If I remember that is lol :)

Yeah sounds bang on what I need, will contact the APS distributor today too, if not it would only cost a few quid to get one made up...

Sorted :D

Part 17

I may be able to make you one, by copying mine?

TBMeech 29 April 2003 02:05 PM

Steven,

That is perfect, exactly what I was looking for :D

Do you reckon you could get one made up? - Either that or i'll take my std d/v to the engineers and get them to make up one for me....

P20SPD 29 April 2003 02:14 PM

I could make one, but would take me too long:rolleyes:

Your probably better taking the standard one along and getting them to use that for measurements.

TBMeech 29 April 2003 02:16 PM

Lmao :D

Thanks for your help m8 :)

Scoobynet isnt it a wonderful place lol :D
