The alarm bracket, secured on the offside suspension strut on my MY00 bought in January has broken for the second time.

It has cleanly snapped again after being replaced a month ago allowing the alarm to move around with the hard edge of the bracket scratching the strut paintwork.

Has anyone else had the same experience?

If so, any solutions?

Most odd, my 99MY has the same alarm and i have covered 23000 miles without a single problem with that bracket, sounds as though there may be something else casuing the failure ????

Replaced mine yesterday. Dealer said it was the second on they had now had to change.

Mine broke at 6k miles, second one still in one piece at 10k.

Problem as I see it is that it is just a cheap bit of alloy and a combination of hard suspension and a heavy horn is just causing the bracket to break. Never mind just means my dealer will have to get a stock of them in if they keep breaking.
