i have a completely decatted 95wrx and was wondering would the uppipe from scoobyshop complement my H+S downpipe? will i notice any gains or is it just good for better breathing/exhaust flow?

cheers

bttt

'coz i'm having a full de-cat h+s system fitted next week (and re-map) I'd like to kmow if it's worth fitting the up-pipe as well ?

I'm fitting an up-pipe with my fully decatted system for my 93WRX. I'm thinking more along the lines of minimising detonation than power gains for the up-pipe.

It will be done by about Wednesday. I'll report my results.

p.s. Up-pipe mod is not a good bhp/pound ratio for our model of car if you know what i mean. Thats me assuming that your original up-pipe does not have a Cat.

Only the new model (01 onwards) have a cat in the up-pipe. 'Classic' shape cars don't, hence very little benefit - as you're replacing one straight-through tube with another straight-through tube.

porting the OE headers and up pipe is a better option for the same money.

cheers for that:D I'll save me hard-earned and spend it on something more useful :)
