Got a 95 uk turbo full de-cat vta dump valve,just wondering if it will be safe to fit an induction kit and remove dump valve totally.My concern is the fueling of it ,will it run lean at all dont want to blow it up just need some advice
|
Should be fine, but worth monitoring (as they all are :)) with LambdaLink & KnockLink.
IMHO :rolleyes::) |
when u say remove dump valve totally i assume u dont mean totally as no dump valve means no turbo very quickly
|
UK95 has a TD05 (I'm pretty sure?) which should cope fine with no DV. Well, it would reduce the life of the bearings, but TD05s can be had for less than a new BOV, so... :)

Fit a recirculating dump valve rather than none at all, if you don't want the noise.

The "remove dump valve" issue depends on whether you block up the hole or leave it open!
Leave a big open hole into the inlet side, and all the boost pressure will escape, as will most of the metered air, so you will massively overfuel - not recommended! Block off the hole, and you will be like everyone here has suggested - chance of stalling the turbo, but less lag and maybe some chatter type noise like the rally cars. I'd go with the recirc dumpvalve option personally |
