I fitted a boost gauge last night and I'm about to wire it into the fog light power.
However the bulb has gone in the fog light switch and I want to change it before wiring the gauge in. I dropped the lower half of the dash down to reveal the back of the switch, but due to the failing light and access I couldn't see how they are fastened into the housing. I've tried several searches on the subject and the best answer so far was to push it out from behind. I tried that this morning but it dosn't want to move. Could anybody enlighten me on the correct method or am I just not using enough brute strength ? Thanks in advance Chris Edited to add its a MY99 [Edited by SCOOBY TOWERS - 4/23/2003 9:20:00 AM] |

So anyways, just in case anyone who might actually own a Scooby in the future and dare I say it, might even need to change the fog light switch bulb and didn't learn how to do it 13 years ago (like me ) this is what you need to do:
Push the tab located at the rear of the switch (at the bottom) as far as possible with a large flat blade screwdriver and try to push the switch out. I had already tried this and it started to move/tilt. However, the bit I wasn't doing was to then give it a good tap with a mallet or similar and you should be able to knock it out! They are TIGHT! Perhaps due to it being 2°C? |
