i've just dropped my STi off for it's first service and i'm just praying that the mechanics don't red-line it when they take it out to check out some rattling noises!!!

Brun 15 April 2003 06:59 AM

Take it easy man, unless you've got onboard electronic toys, then you're not gonna know if they have anyway.
Don't beat yourself up over it :) She'll be back soon.

Sith 15 April 2003 10:49 AM

I could swear I just heard an STI being redlined past me...:D Must be yours.

ramdor 15 April 2003 10:53 AM

Richie.

got the babe back...she some-how feels different. can't put it in words exactly but if i could i would say it's slower (though is it possible?) maybe because it's less jerky...but i bet the baskets redlined it cos i know i would have!!!

sith, you must have FA cup's to hear the roar cos the service was done in hong kong..LOL

TelBoy 15 April 2003 01:18 PM

No, the service was done in Singapore - it's called a "test drive"...

:D

JJamess 15 April 2003 03:48 PM

Slacker you need to lighten up dude, it is only a car and it was built for speed so don't worry mine loves the red line "pulls like a 10 dollar whore"

Sith 15 April 2003 03:58 PM

Always knew I have very sensitive hearing......:D

Ramdor - couldn't have been yours, the engine note had that..'but my engine and oil are cold and I'm only here for a service' scream to it. :D

St Andy 15 April 2003 04:10 PM

Slacker, don't worry man, it's what these engines are designed for. If you redline your engine it's still within it's operating tolerances, thats why it cut's out to stop any damage occuring. Chill out and enjoy your car, it's cool.

ramdor 15 April 2003 04:35 PM

lol @ Sith... another oil change required - or was that an engine change? :D

Richie.

slacker 15 April 2003 04:53 PM
