I'm quite temped by a SECS unit for my new MY99 Wagon, but I really wanted an oil temp readout, which I think I'm right in saying the SECS doesn't provide.

How much more aggro/expense is there in adding an a-pillar mounted oil temp guage? I'd want the SECS unit in the dash-cubby-hole mount.

If you can wait a bit(*) longer, the oil temp will be an additional feature of the SECS unit.

Hopefully the sensor wiring loom will be completed soon. This will allow other sensors, such as oil temp, oil temp etc, to be attached to the SECS.

Simon you there? ;)

Richie.

Edited to say... yeah what Squizz said ;)

Anyone fitted oil cooler with secs oil temp sensor? Much difference in readings?

there is no need for an oil cooler on a Subaru engine unless you are nailing it hard on track, and even then its not needed unless you have some very high speed circuits.
