TopBanana 12 April 2003 08:37 AM

Any good?

it is an excellent game, been playing it since it was released in america.

bigsinky 13 April 2003 11:16 AM

have to agree with Christian. paid £40 for it from the states at beginning of march. for those that loved BBC Micro Model B "elite" then this is the game for you. i would would advise a half decent machine though(nothing worse than choppy play during a game). Finished it a few nights ago and am now try to get to Omicron system for the Titan Heavy fighter.

you might want to go here for some more info. or for a walkthru go here

cheers

big sinky

its good, but the further you get into it the more restrictive it gets as to where you can or cant go and you have to follow the plot more and do less freelancing.

also in online play you HAVE to play on the same server if you wish to save your progress, if the server you are playing on disappears so does all your stats and you start back at the start again!!

my origrinal post on this is here

Its a good game, but once you've done the story there is little left to do IMHO, X Beyong the Frontier was better I think because you could build stations and own more than one ship.

You just gotta look forward to a persistent online universe though, only a matter of time now!
