My 5 yr old daughter was diagnosed with adhd yesterday. She is being put on medication to help her (hopefully). This has been a very long battle for me to get anyone to take notice of what I have been trying to say. Anyone got any advice etc on the condition and the medication?. There are several help sites on here, just wondered if any of you had any similar experiences.

The treatment she is probably getting is basically speed (ritalin). I'd be very concerned if this was my child. Do a lot of reading

I believe good results for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder have been achieved by ensuring the child has a completely organic diet free from all chemicals, toxins and preservatives, especially the dreaded 'E' numbers. Read an article on a couple who went down this route for their child with amazing results.

My ex gf's son had this disorder, according to her the medication he was on, as long as he took it regularly as prescribed, did absolute wonders for his behaviour. If he missed taking it there was a dramatic change in the way he behaved so I would stick to what the dr's say. I have no idea what the name of the tablets are though so can't help there.

ritalin is the stuff...
A number of kids at my school have to take it- a very noticable change when taken (or not). |
Also, modulating the correct fats is supposed to help - do a search for Udo's Oil - I am pretty sure the site mentions something.
