Sorry folks, I know this is a bit off the subject but my wife needs to get a new car soon, either a Polo or a Civic. I don't want to pay UK prices.

Does anybody out there know of sites with prices of these cars in Holland or other countries with even cheaper prices ?

The best thing is, if she gets a new car then I get the scoob all the time http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

I know you might pay a little bit more but try

Thanks Ian,

I presume you mean the Broadspeed/PO/Stena site. I've looked at this and certainly their prices are good but they don't seem to do either of these cars.

I have just ordered a Golf GTI Turbo from Ostend Motors in Belgium. They were incredibly helpful and easy to deal with. The paperwork to import is very straight forward and the DVLA will even send you an information pack if you ring them. No need to use a broker at all in my view. Ireckon to save about £4k on UK prices and delivery is 10 to 12 weeks. Holland is even cheaper but delivery is much longer for some reason. I got a quote from P&O but they were about £2k more. Thats delivered to your door though with all the paper work done and taxed. Mail me off line for more details if you want them. <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:<HR>Originally posted by DJB:

Krisw,

Is the Golf identical spec to the UK version ? When I looked at Golfs last year, I found that I would have had to order many extras to bring it up to UK spec. (I imported an Impreza last year, and now want a Golf for my wife)

Gazzer, Yes, its full UK spec with added climate control and 10CD changer. Ill email you with some further details. Cheers
